JOB TITLE:       Provider as Interpreter for the Hearing Impaired

 

POSITION:      Full-time position

                      Houghton Lake Community Schools

 

SALARY:         Hourly Rate of $18.50

 

REPORT TO:     Director of Special Education and/or Local Building Principal

 

QUALIFICATIONS:             An Associates degree is preferred, and also possesses National Certification.  Has successfully completed the Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) Elementary or Secondary Test with a minimum score of 3.5.  Is registered with, and possess certification from the Division on Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DODHH).  Also has knowledge of the principles and practices of interpreting, including The National Association of the Deaf and the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf, Inc. (NAD-RID) Code of Ethics, and maintains credentials and continuing education credits required for certification
