C.O.O.R. ISD

Professional Development Courses are available at no cost to COOR Area K-12 Teachers unless marked.  Educators from surrounding ISDs may also participate in our roundtables.  Our discussions will be enhanced by participation from Iosco RESA, COP ESD, and our other neighboring ISDs and RESAs.  We are now charging a $5.00 fee to earn SB-CEUs and a facility fee for a few classes. Purpose :

              -Provide relevant and usable, research-tested information to enhance K-12 instruction

              -Assist teachers and administrators in obtaining needed professional development credits

              -Improve student achievement through excellent education

State-Based Continuing Education Units (SB-CEUs) are available for many of our Professional Development events for a small fee of $5.00 or facility fee, as described in event description.  Three SB-CEUs are equal to one semester hour for certificate renewal purposes.  

SB-CEU Requirements:

 
(1) Attend each session from beginning to end and complete required activities.

(2) Sign in and out on official form and check in the column for SB-CEUs.

(3) Submit $5 fee- check or money order made payable to COOR ISD with the class name in the memo section (Some classes may have a larger fee.)

(4) Complete an online evaluation within 30 days of email notification in order to receive your SB-CEUs.  If you do not receive an email within two weeks after an event, please contact Becky Socia.  You will forfeit your SB-CEUs if the evaluation is not finished within 30 days.
